Operating procedure

The following three steps must be performed before the
result of a NycoCard Test is obtained:
Make sure that the pen tip is free from dust and
scratches.
Make sure that the penholder is clean.
Make sure that the white calibration surface is free
from dust and scratches.
Remember to close the lid after white calibration is
performed.
The NycoCard Test should be placed on the Reader pad
(7) when measuring the result. Measuring without using
the pad may lead to wrong results.
Follow general laboratory precautions when handling
blood samples. Be aware that the pen tip and pen ring
will be in contact with diluted blood/urine. Wear gloves.
Be aware that measurement is in progress when "Active
Wait..." is shown on the display. Make sure that this
message is not displayed before the sleeve is pushed
down on the sample. Keep the sleeve down and steady
until the result is displayed.
If the instrument is placed on stand-by for about 10 minutes,
it will automatically switch-off. When the instrument is
turned on again, the last measured value will automatically be
displayed.
