VRD
VRD allows you to load and play different banks of drum sounds. With the built-in audio player on the bottom of the screen, you
can also play along to the included songs or any of your favorite MP3s. And to top it all off, you can record your performance,
along with the music, to an MP3 file!
When you click on VRD, you will see the window displayed on top:
DEVICE SETTINGS
These are the settings for the iDM05 USB module. Remember that this module needs to be connected to your computer for the
drum kit to work with the software.
1. SEARCH – Press this button to tell the application to connect to the iDM05 module.
2. MIDI IN – If the module has been successfully connected, you will see "iDM05 MODULE" displayed here. If the module has
not yet been connected, you will see "CONNECT MODULE".
3. MIDI OUT – By default, the application will output the data (i.e. drum hits) from your performance through the MIDI
OUTPUT on the back of the iDM05 module. Note that it is not necessary to have this output connected to anything.
However, you can connect this output to an additional MIDI device, such as a drum machine or sampler, if you would like to
trigger additional sounds. If your computer is equipped with additional MIDI outputs (for example, if you have a MIDI
interface connected), you can use the up and down arrows to select a different MIDI output.

5. CHANNEL – This is the MIDI Channel that will be used to communicate drum hits from the module to the software. Note
that the module is always sending its data on MIDI Channel 10. Therefore, please ensure that this setting is set to 10,
otherwise the software will not function properly.
6. SENSITIVITY – This setting describes how "sensitive" the drum kit is. In other words, this specifies how the drum kit reacts
to how hard you hit the pads. For example, if striking the drum pads lightly does not produce any sound, you can increase
the sensitivity.
