4. SETTING PROCEDURE AND DEFINITION OF THE PARAMETERS
4.5.3
LOCAL PARAMETERS SETUP ON UDAT / UDAT
POWER+
Before the unit can operate, a few configuration steps for local parameters
must be accomplished:
Turn on the device by pressing and holding the power button until the
screen turns on. After a while, the home screen will show up. Regardless
of the menu shown on screen, after a period of inactivity, the application
will come back to the home screen.
From the home screen, press the shortcut key (1) associated with the
unlock icon to access the main menu. This screen shows the selected
language (2), the product identifier (3), the date and time (4), and the
available menus: dispense (5), stocks (6), transactions (7) and configuration
(8). Press the associated shortcut key to access the desired menu.
CHOOSE CONFIGURATION (8)
To access the configuration menu, two consecutive access codes are
required. The first one is .... (four dots) and then the system will ask for
another one which is NEXU. The main configuration parameters of the
device are displayed on the screen once the codes have been entered.
In this screen the following parameters have to be set:
Address: UDat / UDat Power+ number starting from No. 1. Two units
cannot have the same address
Filter CAN: This option manages the data flow from / to the UDat /
UDat Power+. If it is set to ON, only data referred to this keypad is
managed. The rest is not managed. If it is set to OFF; all the
communication is managed included the one which is not referred to the
keypad. This carries within a more robust communication but slower. As
a recommendation, please set ON.
EOL: This parameter allows indicating whether the unit is end of line in
the CAN BUS (ON) or it is an intermediate unit (OFF).
Then press SAVE
If the UDat is connected via Wi-Fi ® then an additional configuration has
to be made (please contact Samoa Industrial, S.A.)
Go to WIFI and a new screen will appear
Enable: This has to be set to ON
SSID: In the right part of the screen, you will find the available Wi-Fi®
networks. Choose the one you want to connect to.
PASSWORD: Insert the password for the network.
UNET IP: Obviously, the Wi-Fi® network will have to be part of the
network in which the UNet is connected. This IP has to be the one that
was supplied by the customer.
The last step is pressing CONNECT. The screen will reboot and the UDAt
will be connected to the WI-Fi® network (in the upper right part of the
screen the green dots will have to blink).
