7.13 What is the Handset Lock Code?

• The Handset lock code is stored on the handset and protects against unwanted use. If the handset is
lost or stolen it cannot be switched on without the handset lock code. This provides a greater level of
protection than the PIN code which protects the USIM card only. The default code is 0000.

7.14 Additional notes on PIN Codes

• The PIN and PUK Codes are provided by your Service Provider
• If you enter the PIN number incorrectly three times the phone will be PUK locked
• Contact your service provider to get the PIN Unlocking Key (PUK code)
• PIN2 Code is an additional PIN on the USIM card and is not generally supported.
