BEFORE FIRST USE

Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
Caution: Tear up all plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children.
Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
Before using your new appliance, wipe the body and cooking plates with a damp cloth.
Condition the non-stick cooking surfaces with a light coating of cooking oil. Remove any excess
oil with a cloth or paper towel.
Note: Do not use non-stick cooking spray on the cooking surface of the cooking plates.

HOW TO USE YOUR PANINI MAKER

When the appliance is operating for the first time, there may be a slight burning odor, as the heating
elements warm up. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the
appliance. Allow the appliance to heat up until the odor clears.

Place the appliance on a flat stable surface.
Caution: Because some countertop finishes are more sensitive than others, use care not to place the
appliance on surfaces where heat may cause damage.
Plug the appliance into a standard 120 Volt AC outlet.
The red light indicator will come on indicating that the unit is heating.
Preheat the unit in the close position appoximately 5 minutes.
Caution: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
Use this pre-heating time to prepare your panini. When the green indicator light comes on,
place the panini on the bottom cooking plate.
Note: Always place the panini towards the rear of the bottom cooking plate.
Close the top cooking plate.
Note: The top cooking plate has a floating hinge that is designed to evenly press down on the panini.
Caution: The locking storage clip should not be used to clamp down the top cooking plate when the
paninis are in the panini maker. The weight of the top cooking plate will gradually press down the
sandwich during the cooking process.
When the panini is cooked, use the handle to open the panini press and raise the top cooking
plate. Remove the panini with the help of a plastic or wooden spatula.
Caution: Never use metal tongs or a knife as these can cause damage to the nonstick coating.
Unplug the cord and allow it to cool.
