If devices are available for the connection of de-dusting and dust extraction systems,
make sure that they are connected and operate properly. The use of a dust collector can
reduce the dangers related to dust.
Safety of use and care of an electrical device
Do not use force for its operation. Always use the correct attachment for your device.
The appropriate attachment works more effectively and safely at the rate that it was designed
for.
Do not use the electrical device if the switch is out of order. The electrical device that
cannot be operated by the switch is dangerous and must be repaired immediately.
Disconnect the power plug from the mains before making any changes, changing acces-
sories or before storing the device. These precautions reduce the risk of accidental starting.
Store the device out of the reach of children when not in use. Do not allow it to be oper-
ated by persons who are not familiar with its use or this manual. It can be dangerous in
the hands of inexperienced users.
Service the electrical device regularly. Check it for incorrect assembly or blocking of the
moving parts, for defects, damage and any other conditions that could restrict the func-
tioning of the device. If the device is damaged, have it repaired before use. As a general
rule, the cause of accidents in most cases is poor maintenance.
Use the electrical device and its accessories according to these instructions, the working
conditions and the work to be carried out. Improper use can lead to dangerous situations.
Safety of maintenance
Have your power tool serviced by qualified staff with original spare parts only. This ensures the
safety of the electric device.
Safety instructions for impact drivers
Hold the electric device only on insulated surfaces during the operation when the cutting
tool may touch hidden cables or your own cable. Contact with a live cable can result in
exposed metal parts of the power tool being under voltage, thus causing an electric shock to
the user.
Use the additional handle(s) included in the delivery. Loss of control can lead to serious
injuries.
Hold the device with a firm grip. An increased reaction torque can occur when driving in and
loosening screws.
Secure the work piece. The work piece which has been secured with clamps or a vice has a
more secure hold than if held by hand.
Wait until the device has come to a complete standstill before putting it down. A tool insert
can jam and thus lead to loss of control over the tool.
Never use a device with a damaged power cord. Do not touch the damaged cable or pull the
power plug if the cable is damaged during operation. Damaged cables increase a risk of electric
shock.
