3.5.2 The thermostatic valve power cable

With a PUREVENT HYDRO'R SMART unit, connect the thermostatic valve power cable to the VMI®
PUREVENT electronic card. To do so, follow this procedure:
Make sure that the VMI® unit is powered down.
1. Check that the hydraulic connections of the different valve components are in position.
2. Open the VMI® unit cover.
3. Disconnect the lug on port S2 from the electronic card.
4. Pass the thermostatic valve cable through the gland.
5. Plug the cable into port S2.
6. 7-Close the cover.

3.5.3 Connection to the central heating system

The Hydro'R system has been designed and sized so that it has similar characteristics to a
conventional radiator. It should therefore be treated as such when it is installed.
You must ensure that there are no valves that can be activated by the user (heating valve, thermostatic
valve) installed between the heat and/or cold source and the Hydro'R system's connection.
Recommendations
The water filter is essential for the control valve to function properly. Installing a Hydro'R
system without water filtration upstream may lead to a malfunction of the system and the
control device.
The quarter-turn valves are required for changing the water filter and hydraulically
disconnecting the Hydro'R system.
If the Hydro'R system is installed anywhere other than in a detached house, a balancing valve
must be installed upstream of the hot water inlet. It will then be possible to balance the
network and adjust the flow rate and pressure to ensure the product functions correctly. The
balance of the entire system should be checked.
