3.3 Air duct connection

3.3.1 Connections

Exterior air
inlet
Make sure to observe the direction of air circulation and connect the "upstream" duct coming from
the exterior air inlet on the side closest to the filter.

3.3.2 Pipe system type

The product can be used with several pipe system types:

Flexible ducts (allow minimum 50 mm insulation if using in an unheated area)

Semi-rigid ducts (in heated areas only)

Rigid ducts (in heated areas only)

3.3.3 New air inlet type to be used

The product is compatible with:
-
Roof outlet, 160 mm diameter.

Facade grille, 160 mm.
Recommendations for positioning the new air inlet:
Ensure that the ducts are not crushed.
Avoid sudden changes of direction.
Avoid unnecessary bends.
Use straight lengths where possible.
Balance the pipe system as much as possible.
Check fittings for leaks.
Draw in air from a good distance from the contaminated area (chimney,
ventilation air outlet, boilers, vehicle car park, etc.) according to current
standard.
The new air inlet must be arranged such that it is away from water and cannot
become clogged.
The roof outlet must be suitable for the roof type to prevent any water
penetration during heavy rain.
The roof outlet or façade grille must be connected to an insulated 160 mm
diameter duct.
