General
When connecting the scanner, its light does not turn on
The scanner may be defective. Please contact Technical Support (see
"Technical Support" on page 12-3).
When connecting the scanner, its light flashes and then turns off
Try the following actions:
• Make sure the USB cable is connected properly.
• If the problem persists, you may have connected the scanner
Try troubleshooting tips in this section
If the symptoms are not described in the tips, search the Online Help on
"trouble".
If the problem persists, contact our Technical Support (see page 12-3).

before installing the software. Follow these steps:
1) Disconnect the USB cable from the scanner port.
2) Install the software.
3) Connect the USB cable to the scanner port.
If the problem persists, the scanner may be defective. Please
contact Technical Support (see "Technical Support" on
page 12-3).
