Set the paper cassette in the printer.
Push the paper cassette into the printer firmly until the front side of the cassette is
flush with the front surface of the printer.
G Paper Level Indicator
The paper cassette has a paper level indicator (A) that shows the
amount of paper remaining in the cassette. If the cassette is full,
the paper level indicator is at the top. Because the indicator moves
down as the amount of paper drops, this gives a rough estimate of
the amount of paper remaining.
This printer's paper cassette cannot automatically detect the paper size.
Therefore, you need to register the size of the paper loaded in the paper
cassette.
See "Registering the Size of the Paper in the Paper Cassette" (p. 31) to
register the paper size after installing the CAPT software (p. 25).

Loading Paper in the Manual Feed Slot

The manual feed slot can be loaded with plain paper (60 - 90 g/m
A4, B5, A5, Legal, Letter, and Executive. Heavy paper, transparencies, labels,
Envelope DL, Envelope COM10, Envelope C5, Envelope Monarch, Envelope
B5, Index Card size media, or custom size paper that is 76.2 to 215.9 mm wide
and 127.0 to 355.6 mm long can also be loaded.
Be sure to load paper in portrait orientation when loading it in the manual feed
slot.
IMPORTANT
The manual feed slot can be loaded with only one sheet of paper.
Do not touch the paper in the manual feed slot or pull it out during printing.
This may result in a faulty operation.
