Initial operation and activation of the configuration
Set the rotary switch.
Then switch on operating voltage while pressing the ENTER key on the base device SA-BM. The FLT display flashes (max. 3 s).
Release the ENTER key during the FLT display flashing. If you press the enter key for longer than 3 seconds an error is detected.
The selected function block and control circuit function are now saved and active.
Device behaviour in case of error
If random or systematic system error are detected in the system or its control circuitry the device will shut down.
All safety-relevant output circuits will shut down and the FLT LED will light up.
LEDs I1 to I8 cover the pairs I1-I2, I3-I4, I5-I6, I7-I8. The following errors are displayed:
The LEDs for a pair
flash simultaneously
flash alternately
single LED flashes
The user may be able to cancel the shutdown by rectifying an error (e.g. in the control circuitry).
Error Codes of Error LED (FLT)
Blink code
Cause of error
static
Secondary error on modules that have not discovered the error themselves
2x
Error in module configurations on S1, S2, S3, other module configuration
3x
Rotary switch altered during operation
4x
Module location list comparison when power switched on has detected a difference (including alteration of rotary switch position
before or during power off)
5x
Voltage supply internal and external
6x
Self-monitoring, internal error, etc. (e.g. enter button pressed longer than 3 s)
Cross-circuit between inputs
Sequence error on inputs
Synchronous time error: the input that flashes is the one that achieves good state too late
