NOTE: Under no circumstances shall S&P be liable for damages caused to persons or objects resulting from
incorrect installation procedures.
• Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that all safety measures indicated in (Fig.1) are observed.
• The wall on which the device is to be mounted must be sufficiently robust and sturdy to support the weight
of the curtain.
NOTE: Under no circumstances shall S&P be liable for damages caused to persons or objects resulting from
the installation of the curtain on inadequate structures.
• Due to the weight of the curtain, at least two suitably trained technical specialists are required to carry out
the installation.
• The curtains are fixed-installation devices. In order to connect to the mains, the guidelines indicated in the
Low Voltage Regulation should be followed and/or any country-specific regulations.
• Before connecting the curtain to the mains, ensure the supply voltage meets the requirements indicated on
the identification plate.
• Ensure that there is an easily-accessible fixed electrical socket at a distance less than the useful length of
the curtain cable (1 m).
• The CAF curtains are rated Class I and, therefore, the power supply cable must be connected to a fixed
earthed electrical socket.
• When installing various curtains in a line, it is not advisable to use an unfixed multiple socket.
• If the power cable is damaged it must, in the interest of safety, be replaced by S&P's After Sales Service or
by qualified personnel.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and maintenance to perform by the user not be made by children without supervision.
• Disconnect the curtain from the mains power before carrying out any cleaning operation on the exterior of
the apparatus. Do not handle the curtain with wet hands.
• Never insert an object through the slots in the intake grill nor in the opening of the air outlet.

4. INSTALLATION

• (Fig.2) shows the important dimensions according to the acquired model. To guarantee correct operating
performance, the length of the curtain must never be less than the length of the opening/door.
• If the length of the opening/door is greater than 1.5 metres, various curtains may be installed in a line to
guarantee that there are no air flows from the outside entering the air-conditioned area.
• Use the metallic wall support as a template (Fig.3-1) to mark the position of the 8 holes. Ensure that the
centre of the support is placed in the middle of the opening of the door.
• Make the 8 holes in the wall with an 8mm drill bit. Then, insert eight 8mm wall plugs into the holes (not su-
pplied). Ensure that these are suitable for the type of wall where the curtain is to be mounted.
• Fix the metal wall support on the wall using 8 screws (not supplied). Ensure that these are suitable for the
type of wall where the curtain is to be mounted. To prevent the curtain from becoming accidentally dislod-
ged, never use screw hooks.
• Hang the curtain on the metal support, as indicated in (Fig.3-2). Then, fix the curtain to the support using the
3 screws (supplied) indicated in (Fig.3-3).
