Avoid mounting battery with terminals at the rear.

Battery terminals must be at the front of unit.
Installation and set-up
1)
Remove sounder cover.
2)
Pass wires from control panel through the opening at the
rear of the sounder
3)
Fix back plate to wall with screws through mounting slots.
Fix a screw in the wall at correct position to operate the
tamper if sounder is removed from mounting.
4)
Connect terminals +ALIM and 0V ALIM respectively to the
14.3 V and 0 V supply from control panel.
5)
Connect the terminals to the tamper circuit of the control
panel.
IMPORTANT – In positioning the battery, make sure the

terminals are placed towards the front of the sounder. See
drawing on next page.
7)
Connect the battery observing correct polarity. Battery
NP2.1 or PS-1221, 12 V, 2.1 Ah
8)
Connect the terminal +BL to the sounder output of the
control panel (+V hold off).

NB: During power up, the siren is not active until +BL is
taken to < 3.2 V.
Testing
Put the jumper in place at « 5 seconds test ». Activate the

sounder output at the control panel (+BL to 0 V or
floating). Check the siren operates.

Open the cover. Make sure the control panel detects the
tamper.
Remove the jumper « 5 seconds test ». Adjust the timer to

15 or 30 minutes.
4)
Replace sounder cover and fasten cover screw. Make
sure the tamper is not activated (closed contact).
IMPORTANT:
The jumper must be placed for a maximum
duration of 30 min.
IMPORTANT:
The battery must be a NP2.1 or PS-1221.
Dispose of used batteries in accordance with all national and
local regulations.
