2.9 Position one (preassembled) Crossbar across the two
Rack Corner saddle plates, fitting two T-Bolts into the
holes in each saddle plate. Keep the third T-Bolt inside
the saddle plate on each side. Loosely assemble a
10mm Self Locking Nut onto each of the four T-bolts
(See Figure 8).
2.10 To center the Crossbar between the two Rack Corners,
measure 5 ¾ inch overhang from one end of the Cross-
bar to the saddle plate and tighten the four Self Locking
Nuts (See Figure 8). Torque to 25Nm.
2.11 FULLY loosen the Knobs on the Passenger's Side Rack
Corner and remove the Centering Aids (Figure 6).
2.12 Install Slide Mount Slide into passenger's side rack
corner by following Steps 2.1 and 2.3
2.13 Attach the end cap with a 6mm Socket Head Screw to
each end of the crossbar using an allen wrench (Be sure
that the GM logo is right side up) (Figure 5). Torque to
10 N/m.
2.14 FULLY loosen knobs on the Driver's Side Rack Corner.
With pin disengaged verify Rear Rack Assembly slides
freely. NOTE: If Rear Rack Assembly does not slide
freely, loosen only the Self Locking Nuts on the
Passenger's Side Saddle Plate (Figure 8) and realign
Passenger's Side Rear Corner to Crossbar. Centering
Aids are designed to center the Passenger's Side Rear
Corner onto the cargo management track.
2.15 Attach the two Corner Braces. Be sure to orient the
Corner Braces so the end with the dimple fits over the
Rivnut on the Rack Corner (See Figure 8). Secure the
Corner Brace to the corner with a 10mm Bolt and
washer. The flat end of the brace is attached to the
Crossbar with the remaining T-bolt and Self Locking Nut.
Tighten all nuts completely. Torque to 25 Nm.
IMPORTANT: Do not over tighten nuts.
2.16 Attach the Crossbar End Caps with a Screw to each end
of the Crossbar using a hex wrench (Be sure that the
GM logo is right side up). Torque to 10 Nm.
