3 Operation
3.1
The insulating strip may be pulled out of the battery compartment
Insert/re-
the underside of the unit before the scale can be operated. Replace the
place
batterie if the battery change symbol "LO" appears in the display
batteries
if nothing appears in the display after you have stepped on the device.
Please note polarity (positive pole upwards; facing towards the lid).
3.2
Change unit of weight
Shortly press your foot on the middle of the scales surface. „0.0"
appears in the display. You now may select the weight units (kg -
lb - st) with the shift key for setting the weight unit
If you do not do anything else, the scales switches off after approx. 10
seconds automatically. It is now ready for the „step-on" function.
1. Make sure the scales is placed on a firm, level surface. If you want

Weighing / to weigh yourself but have moved the scales just before, you must
first initialise the scales. To do this, shortly press your foot on the
„Step-on"
function middle of the surface of the scales. „0.0" appears in the display. Af-
ter the scales switched off automatically, it is ready for the „step-on"
function. This procedure is not necessary if you have not moved the
scales.
2. Step onto the scales and stand still. The device switches on automatically.
3. Your weight is measured, is then displayed.
4. Step down from the scales. The scales switches off automatically after
approx. 10 seconds if you do not do anything else.
