    Lets Begin Image 1 1. Begin by taking out the wheelchair and spare parts from the shipping carton and stand the chair upright. (see Image 1) Image 2 2. Install the joystick controller on the armrest. The joystick can be installed on the left or right hand. (see Image 2) 3.

  • Page 9 Unfolding 5. Grasp the back push handle with one hand and lock the safety clamp on the back of the chair. (see image 6 & 7) Note: Make sure you secure the safety clamp and lock it in place. Failure to do this could result in the chair collapsing on you causing serious injury.

Grasp one hand on the back push handle tube and the other hand on the foot rest and pull the frame together while slightly lifting the front of the chair.     Battery Information Remove the Battery 17. Pull out the Power Plug From the back of the chair. 18. Hold down the locking lever on the bottom of the battery to disengage the battery clamp from the frame. (see image 21 & 22) (Image 21) 19.

    Remote Control Syncing 35. To syncing the remote control to your wheelchair begin by pressing the power button on the joystick on (see image 25) 36. Press the “minus” (-) button on the joystick at the same time you press the Boot Button Power button on the remote.

Turn off the power of wheelchair when in manual mode. If the chair is turned on while in manual mode it will beep and not allow you to push the wheelchair.

    Electromagnetic Interference Powered vehicles such as the Platinum 8000 Wheelchair may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference, which is interfering electromagnetic energy emitted from sources such as radio station, TV station, amateur (two way) radio transmitters, two-way radios, and cellular phones. The interference (from radio wave sources) can cause the Platinum 8000 Wheelchair to release its brakes, move by itself, or move in unintended directions.
