Although the Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Electric Wheelchair has a strong anti-interference rating, the owner should still abide by the following rules: 1 When the power supply is connected to the Miracle Mobility Wheelchair, please do not operate a radio transmitter, a radio receiver, a citizen’s band radio.
The Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Electric Folding Wheelchair is powered by two brushless 250-watt motors, ideal for indoor and outdoor use. It is highly recommended that you do not use your Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Wheelchair in the rain or snow as the electric motor is not water proof. Additionally, it is not recommended that you drive through puddles or on slippery surfaces.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (CONT’D) This wheelchair cannot be used in heavy rain, snow, or icy conditions. Contact with water or excessive moisture can cause an electrical failure. The frame, motor, and other electrical wheelchair parts are not waterproof. Washing the electric wheelchair with a water hose is prohibited. If the electric wheelchair has been wet, please remove the battery as soon as possible and ensure the electric wheelchair and battery are dry before attempting to use it again.

4 Make sure you fully understand the control functions of the joystick before operating. 5 While operating the Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Electric Wheelchair, always keep your body upright and your center of gravity in the middle of the wheelchair.

The user must realize that driving wheel chairs on the road or in the parking lot is dangerous and not recommended. For easy recognition at dusk, reflective tape has been applied to the Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Electric Wheelchair. It is also recommended that the user wear reflective clothes. as shown in Photo C1.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (CONT’D) 1 When crossing roads or navigating areas where vehicles are present, please ensure that the other drivers have noticed you. 2 Before you continue operation, make eye contact with the driver, and let the driver know your intentions. Only proceed when you are sure it is safe to do so. 3 Do not attempt to drive the electric wheelchair onto transport vehicles such as buses, subways, trains, planes, ships, etc.

Follow the instructions of your local healthcare provider so that you can safely manage the entry and exit of your electric wheelchair safely. Make sure you move the electric wheelchair as close as possible to the location where you can safely seat yourself.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (CONT’D) Reaching for an object or reclining in the wheelchair will affect the center of gravity and could cause the wheelchair to tip. If you must shift your weight and center of gravity, do not tilt or lean your body beyond the perimeter of the wheelchair cushion.

As shown in Figure H1. 2 To reach an object, move your electric wheelchair as close as possible to the object and maintain your center of gravity as you reach for the object.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (CONT’D) During normal daily operation of your electric wheelchair, you will need to safely navigate around obstacles. Obstacles could include but not be limited to, elevators, ramps, holes, speed bumps, curbs, and broken pavement. Such objects can be very dangerous if you are not mindful at all times.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (CONT’D) Driving in Reverse When navigating the electric wheelchair in reverse, extra caution is advised. If the rear wheel hits an object, you could lose control or tip the wheelchair over. When driving in reverse always use the slowest speed setting. Stop and frequently check to ensure nobody or any obstacles are in your path.
LOAD CAPACITY Load Capacity 1 The maximum load capacity of this Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Electric Wheelchair is 265 pounds. 2 Never exceed the load capacity as doing so can create a hazardous situation. 3 The backrest’s load capacity is a maximum of 165 lbs. of pressure. Do not press or raised up on the push handle.
5 Before each use, check whether the safety belt is loose or damaged. If you find there is a problem, please contact Miracle Mobility for a replacement belt. Fasten the safety belt 1 Ensure that the safety belt is securely wrapped around the bottom of wheelchair backrest.
JOYSTICK OPERATION Joystick Controller Installation & Instructions 1 The Joystick controller can be installed on either the left or the right armrest. 2 Simply insert the joystick into the armrest tube and make sure it has been tightened using the rubber-head bolt under the armrest, as shown in Figure K1. 3 Connect the four-core plug from the joystick controller and wheelchairs computer and secure the connection, as shown in Figure K2.

BRAKE INSTRUCTIONS (CONT’D) Find the Intelligent Electromagnetic Brake switch and perform the following functions: 1 Engage the Intelligent Electromagnetic Brake to operate the wheelchair with power. This will prevent the wheels from being used in manual mode, as shown in Figure L1. 2 Disengage the Intelligent Electromagnetic Brake by moving the brake lever to manual mode.
BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS Do not use batteries with different capacity, different brands, or different battery types. Replace the batteries completely; do not mix old and new batteries together. Conductive metal or such materials cannot be used to connect the positive or negative plugs of the battery. If the connection leads to a short circuit, the battery may get an electric shock causing damage to the battery and/or wheelchair.

6 If the breaker (the circuit insurance brake) is tripped several times while charging, please unplug the charger immediately and contact Miracle Mobility for a new Power Plug. 7 The Miracle Mobility Freedom Series Gold Electric Wheelchair is supplied by a Lithium Ion Battery. 8 Do not smoke or ignite a flame near the battery.

BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS (CONT’D) BEFORE THE FIRST USE: IT IS VITAL THAT THE BATTERIES BE FULLY CHARGED. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL REDUCE THE LIFE OF THE BATTERIES. THE BATTERIES SHOULD BE EXHAUSTED OF POWER ON THE FIRST USE. THEN CHARGE THE BATTERIES FULLY. 1 Before using, the user should check if the power supply is fully charged.

BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS (CONT’D) Over-discharge Protection Device When the battery of the electric wheelchair is depleted, the battery over-discharge protection device will protect the charger for excessive discharge. It is important to note that when the over-discharge protection device is activated the maximum speed will be reduced.

TROUBLESHOOTING The Miracle Mobility computer consul is equipped with intelligent indicator lights to alert the user of possible trouble shooting solutions. Lights will flicker intermittently to provide diagnostic information.
