Disassembling

– Remove the shroud, b 5.2.
– Remove the throttle cable and
wiring of ignition module,
b 8.2.2

: Take the screw (1) out of the fan
housing and remove the engine.
Support the engine so that it does
not drop when the screw is
removed.

: Inspect the clutch drum (1).
There should be no scores or
signs of excessive wear.
If there are signs of serious wear on
the inside diameter, check the
remaining wall thickness. If it is less
than about 80% of the original
thickness, install a new clutch drum.

: Remove the spark plug. Fit the
locking screw (1) 4180 890 2700.
Rotate crankshaft counter-
clockwise until the piston butts
against the locking screw.

: Take out the clutch shoe screws
(1 and 2).
: Remove the cover plate (3).
: Remove the clutch shoes (1)
together with the spring (2) and
lower cover plate.
: Tilt the clutch shoes and unhook
the spring.
Clutch shoes must always be
replaced in pairs.
