5 IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
5.1

General Safety Warnings and Instructions

This section contains the prescribed general safety
warnings and instructions for electric lawn mowers.
Additional important warnings and instructions are provided
in subsequent sections of this manual.
WARNING
When using electric lawn mowers, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE LAWN
MOWER!
1) Avoid Dangerous Environment – Don't use lawn mowers
in damp or wet locations.
2) Don't Use In Rain.
3) Keep Children Away – All bystanders should be kept at a
distance from work area.
4) Dress Properly – Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
They can be caught in moving parts. Substantial footwear
is recommended. Never wear sandals, tennis shoes, flip
flops or similar footwear or go barefoot. Wear heavy-duty
work gloves (e.g. made of leather or other wear-resistant
material) when transporting the mower or carrying out
work on the mower blade.
5) Use Protective Glasses – Always use an approved face or
dust mask if operation is dusty.
6) Use the Right Appliance – Do not use the lawn mower for
any job except that for which it is intended.
7) Do Not Force the Lawn Mower – It will do the job better
and more safely at the rate for which it was designed.
8) Do Not Overreach – Keep proper footing and balance at
all times.
9) Stay Alert – Watch what you are doing. Use common
sense. Do not operate the lawn mower when you are tired.

10)Disconnect the Lawn Mower – Disconnect the lawn
mower from the power supply by removing the fuse key
and battery when not in use, before servicing, when
changing accessories such as blades, and the like.
11)Store Lawn Mower Indoors – When not in use, lawn
mower should be stored indoors in a dry and locked place
– out of reach of children.
12)Maintain the Lawn Mower With Care – Keep cutting
edges sharp and clean for optimal performance and to
reduce the risk of injury. Follow instructions for lubricating
and changing accessories. Inspect lawn mower
periodically and, if damaged, have it repaired by an
authorized service facility.
13)Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
14)Keep guards in place and in working order.
15)Keep blades sharp.
16)Keep hands and feet away from cutting area.
17)Objects struck by lawn mower blade can cause severe
injuries to persons. The lawn should always be carefully
examined and cleared of all objects prior to each mowing.
18)If lawn mower strikes a foreign object, follow these steps:
– Stop lawn mower. Release switch lever.
– Remove fuse key and battery.
– Inspect for damage.
– Have any damage repaired by an authorized service
facility before restarting and operating the lawn mower.
19)Use identical replacement blades only.
