19 After Finishing Work

19.1 Preparing for Transportation or Storage

WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation or unauthorized use, switch off the motor, ensure
the mowing blade has stopped and remove the fuse key and
battery before transporting the lawn mower.
To prepare the lawn mower for transportation or storage:
► Switch off the lawn mower, @ 15.2.
► Remove the fuse key and battery, @ 13.2 and @ 14.2.
► If the battery or lawn mower became wet during operation,
allow it to dry completely before charging or storing.

20.1 Lawn Mower

WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation, never lift or carry the lawn mower by hand with
the fuse key and battery inserted.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from loss of control and blade
contact, never carry or transport your lawn mower with the
mowing blade moving, @ 5.7.4. Ensure the mowing blade
has stopped before lifting or carrying the lawn mower,
@ 5.7.4.

To transport the lawn mower:
► Push the lawn mower forward slowly and in a controlled
manner or drive the lawn mower using the drive system.
► When transporting the lawn mower in a vehicle, secure
and position the lawn mower to prevent turnover, impact
and damage. Use ropes or straps to secure the handles.
When transporting the lawn mower by hand:

► Use two persons.
► Hold the cover with both hands (1).
► Hold the left bracket (2) with the left hand and the right
bracket with the right hand.
20.2 Battery
WARNING
To reduce the risk of a short circuit, which could lead to
electric shock, fire and explosion, never transport the battery
in a metal container or near metal objects (e.g., paper clips,
nails, coins, keys), @ 6.
When transporting the battery:
► Place the battery in a non-metal container or carton and
secure it against impact or damage. Never transport the
battery in a metal or other container that is capable of
conducting electricity, or near metal objects (e.g., paper
clips, nails, coins, keys).
► If you are transporting the battery in a vehicle, secure it
and its container to prevent turnover, impact and damage.
