Problem
Treatment pressure seems low
Air leaking around nose and
eyes
Possible cause
SmartStart not enabled
Delay Timer is in use
Air filter strips are dirty
Air tubing is kinked or
punctured
Air tubing is not connected
properly
Plugs missing from mask ports
Pressures required for
treatment may have changed
Nasal cushion not fitted
properly onto mask frame
Mask and headgear straps not
positioned correctly
Plugs missing from mask ports
Nasal cushion is torn or
distorted
Mask may need to be refitted
Solution
Enable SmartStart (see
page 16)
Wait for air pressure to build
up gradually, or press the Start
button to start immediately
Replace air filter strips
Straighten or replace air tubing
Check and tighten both ends
of the air tubing
Replace plugs
Adjust pressures
Fit cushion properly
Adjust position of mask and
headgear (Note: tighter is not
always better!)
Replace plugs
Replace cushion
Refit mask system
