1. SECURITE ELECTRIQUE
1.1 BRANCHEMENT SUR LE RESEAU DES SOURCES
DE COURANT DE SOUDAGE
Avant de raccorder votre appareil, vous devez vérifier
que :
Le compteur, le dispositif de protection contre
les surintensités et l'installation électrique, sont
compatibles avec sa puissance maximale et sa
tension d'alimentation (cf. les plaques
signalétiques).
Le branchement, monophasé ou triphasé avec
terre, est réalisable sur un socle compatible
avec la fiche de son câble de liaison.
Si le câble est branché à poste fixe, la terre, si
elle est prévue, ne doit jamais être coupée par
le dispositif de protection contre les chocs
électriques.
Son interrupteur, s'il existe, est sur la position
"ARRET".
1.2- POSTE DE TRAVAIL
La mise en œuvre du soudage et coupage à l'arc
implique le strict respect des conditions de sécurité
vis-à-vis des courants électriques (Arrêté du 14-12-
88).
Assurez vous qu'aucune pièce métallique accessible
aux opérateurs et à leurs aides ne peut entrer en
contact direct ou indirect avec un conducteur de
phase et le neutre du réseau d'alimentation.
Reliez à un seul point toutes les masses métalliques
de l'installation qui se trouvent à portée de
l'utilisateur.
Ce point sera relié à la terre. Toutes ces liaisons
devront être faites avec des câbles de section au
moins équivalente à celle du plus gros câble de
phase.
Brancher le câble de masse sur la pièce le plus près
possible de la zone de soudage, afin d'éviter un long
parcours au courant, d'atteindre des endroits

1. ELECTRICAL SECURITY
1.1 CONNECTION OF WELDING POWER SOURCE
TO MAINS
Before connecting up your equipment, you must
check that :
The meter, the system for protection against
over-currents and the electrical installation are
compatible with its maximum power and its
power voltage (cf. instruction plates).
The single-phase or three-phase connection
with earth can be effected by way of a socket
compatible with the plug of its connecting
cable.
If the cable is connected to a fixed station,
the earth, if it is provided, is never to be cut
by the protective system against electrical
shocks.
Its switch, if there is one, is turned to be
"OFF" setting.
1.2 WORK STATION
The use of cutting implies a strict respect of safety
conditions with regard to electrical currents.
It is necessary to check that no metal piece
accessible to the operators and to their assistants
can come into direct or indirect contact with a
phase conductor and the neutral of the supply
network.
Connect all the metallic earth's of the welding set
that are within reach of the user to a single point.
This point is earthed. All connections must be made
with cables whose section is at least equal to that
of the largest phase cable.
Connect the earth cable to the piece as close as
possible to the area of welding to avoid a long
current path, to reach uncontrollable places and to
