CAS PARTICULIER DES SOLVANTS CHLORÉS
(UTILISÉS POUR NETTOYER OU DÉGRAISSER) :
Les vapeurs de ces solvants, soumises au
rayonnement d'un arc même éloigné, peuvent se
transformer en gaz toxiques.
L'usage de ces solvants, lorsqu'ils ne sont pas dans
une enceinte étanche, est donc à proscrire dans un
endroit où jaillissent des arcs électriques.
BRUIT :
Si pour certains équipements, le niveau sonore et la
puissance acoustique dépassent les valeurs fixées par
la législation du pays, l'opérateur suivra les consignes
de sécurité de son établissement, pour l'utilisation de
protecteurs individuels.
3. SÉCURITÉ D'EMPLOI DES GAZ
3.1 CONSIGNES COMMUNES A L'ENSEMBLE DES
GAZ
1) RISQUES ENCOURUS
De mauvaises conditions d'utilisation des gaz
exposent l'utilisateur à deux dangers principaux, en
particulier en cas de travail en espace confiné :
Le danger d'asphyxie ou d'intoxication
Le danger d'incendie et d'explosion
2) PRÉCAUTIONS À RESPECTER
a) Stockage sous forme comprimée en bouteilles
Conformez-vous aux consignes de sécurité données
par le fournisseur de gaz et en particulier :
Les zones de stockage ou d'emploi doivent
posséder une bonne ventilation, être suffisamment
éloignées de la zone de coupage soudage et
autres sources de chaleur, et être à l'abri d'un
incident technique.
Arrimez les bouteilles, évitez les chocs.
Pas de chaleur excessive ( > 50° C).
b) Canalisations et tuyauteries
Vérifiez périodiquement l'étanchéité des
canalisations fixes ainsi que des tuyauteries en
caoutchouc.
Ne détectez jamais une fuite avec une flamme.

CHLORINATED SOLVENTS ARE A SPECIAL CASE
(THEY ARE USED FOR CLEANING OR REMOVING
GREASE) :
The vapors of these solvents, under the effect of
the radiation from an arc, even at a distance, can be
transformed into toxic gases.
The use of such solvents, other than in an enclosed
chamber, is thus prohibited in a place where electric
arcs spark over.
NOISE :
Should, because of some items of equipment, the
ambient sound level and the acoustical power
exceed the values stipulated by laws in a country,
the operator is to comply with the safety
instructions of his place of work by using individual
protective devices on his person.
3. SAFETY WHEN USING GASES
3.1 INSTRUCTIONS COMMON TO ALL GASES
1) HAZARDS
When gases are used incorrectly, they expose the
user to two main dangers, in particular when
working in an enclosed space :
The danger of asphyxia or poisoning
The danger of fire or explosion
2) PRECAUTIONS TO BE RESPECTED
a) Storage in compressed form in cylinders
Comply with the safety recommendations given by
the supplier and in particular :
Areas of storage or use of gases must be well
ventilated, be sufficiently far from an area of
welding or cutting, and other sources of heat,
and be protected against a technical incident.
Tie down cylinders, prevent impact.
No excessive heat ( > 50° C).
b) Pipes and hoses
Periodically check the tightness of fixed pipes
and rubber hoses.
Never use a flame to detect a leak. Use an
