HOW DO SOLAR OUTDOOR TORCHES WORK?
DAYTIME
Solar panel collects sunlight and converts it into electrical
power stored in the rechargeable battery(ies) included.
NIGHT TIME
Solar panel, sensing the absence of light, turns on the solar
garden accent light using the electricity stored during the day.
The more sunlight the fixture gets, the stronger the charge
will be and the longer your fixture will illuminate at night.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Batteries not fully charged: Make sure the fixture is placed in
an area where the solar panel gets the maximum amount of
full, direct sunlight everyday. If the solar panel does not
receive enough sunlight during the day (e.g. due to cloudy or
overcast weather conditions), it will be recharged on the next
sunny day and resume operation.
Cleaning: To ensure proper operation, it is important that the
solar panel is kept free from dirt and debris. If the solar panel is
not cleaned periodically, it will not allow the battery to fully
charge and will shorten battery life. A dampened cloth or
paper towel can be used for regular cleaning of the solar
panel. Avoid scratching or damaging solar panel to ensure
proper operation.
Weather: If the daytime weather has been cloudy or
overcast, battery will not be sufficiently charged for
nighttime operation. The solar panel on the torch must
have direct sunlight on a daily basis to ensure battery is
fully charged. If the solar panel does not receive enough
direct sunlight on a given day, a subsequent sunny day will
recharge the torch.
Other light sources: If your solar garden light is located
too close to street lights, porch lights or other lights, the
solar panel may turn off the fixture. Relocate the fixture or
eliminate those other light sources.
Not enough direct sunlight: Ensure that the fixtures are
not installed in a shady area, for example, in the shadow of
a tree or a house. If necessary, move the fixtures to an area
that gets full direct sunlight.
Rubber push button is not on the "ON" position : Press
the push button in a dark room. The light should come on
when the switch is in the ON position.

STORAGE TIPS
To ensure optimal performance, do not store unused torches for
prolonged periods of time. Storing solar torches in a box or dark
room will not allow torch to recharge and this will damage the
batteries. If you need to store torches for a prolonged period, it must
be fully discharged and must be fully charged at least once a month.
WINTER TIPS
Keep debris and snow off the solar panel to allow the battery to
recharge. If lights have been covered by snow for a long time, allow
batteries to recharge in full, direct sunlight for at least 8 hours so they
can maintain maximum capacity.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
To replace the battery, unscrew the battery cover, remove the old
battery and insert new Lithium-Ion 14500 3.7V minimum 600mAH.
