Chapter 6. Trouble-shootings

Q1, My zero clients get disconnected every a few minutes.
By factory default, the BlackBox zero clients and the management software are configured
to be used in an internet connected environment (WAN). If you are using them in a non-
internet environment, you have to re-configure the zero clients and management software
by simply following the guides at the Offline Usage menu on vMatrix Server Manager,
otherwise, sessions will time out (disconnected) during operation.

1) The vMatrix Server Manager

Solution: Install or re-install vMatrix Server Manager.
2) There is network problem between the host and the zero client.
Solution: Ping the host to see if the host responds to the zero client. If not, check the
network connection of the zero client and the host.
3) The zero client is with a new firmware version while the vMatrix Server Manager version
on the host is out of date.
Solution: Upgrade the vMatrix Server Manager.
4) IP Addresses in the DHCP pool have been used up so that new connected zero clients
cannot find hosts in the LAN while the old connected zero clients do not have the
problem.
Solution: Go to the DHCP setting page and enable more IP addresses or shorten the time
of IP address tenancy.
