Connecting the power cables

To connect the system's power cables
1 Connect the power cable or cables into the receptacles.
2 Attach the power cord retention bracket on the right bend of the power supply handle.
3 Bend the system power cable into a loop as shown in the illustration and attach to the
bracket's cable clasp.

4 Plug the other end of the power cables into a grounded electrical outlet or a separate
power source such as an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) or a power distribution unit
(PDU).
The FortiScan-3000C comes with a sliding rail kit. Locate the components for installing the
rail kit assembly:

Two sliding rail assemblies (1)
•
Two Velcro straps (2)
Use the instructions below to install it in square-hole or round-hole racks.
1 To install in square-hole racks
2 Position the left and right rail end pieces of the rail module labeled FRONT facing
inward.
