Connecting the Generator When the AC Power Fails
If the output capacity of the generator is small, reset Input power limiting to ensure that the
UPS input power does not exceed the output capacity of the generator. After the AC power
supply recovers, reset the value to the initial value (5 kW by default).

If the UPS Is in Battery Mode
If the maintenance personnel arrive at the site within the UPS battery backup time, that is, the UPS
is in battery backup mode, perform the following steps to reset Input power limiting:
1. Check the maximum output power of the generator. Use 80% of the rated power of the
generator as the upper limit of Input power limiting.
2. Choose Settings > Battery Parameters. On the displayed page, set Input power limiting.
3. Connects the UPS AC input to the generator output.
4. Start the generator.
When Exceeding the UPS Backup Time

If the UPS has been shut down after the UPS battery backup time is over, you cannot set
Input power limiting (all LED indicators are off) after the UPS is shut down. Therefore,
perform the following steps to reset Input power limiting:
1. Remove all the displayed charger modules (a maximum of four).
2. Connects the UPS AC input to the generator output.
3. Check the maximum output power of the generator, Use 80% of the rated power of the
generator as the upper limit of Input power limiting.
4. Press the ON/OFF button on the lithium battery for more than 5 seconds. Start the lithium
battery within 15 seconds. (If the battery is not started, go to the next step.)
5. Start the generator.
6. Start the UPS.
7. Choose Settings > Battery Parameters. On the displayed page, set Input power limiting.
8. Reinstall the charger modules into the subrack (the charger modules automatically run and
use the input power to charge the battery).
1. After the AC recovers, set Input power limiting to the initial value (5 kW by default or reset it
based on the input circuit breaker capacity). If the input power value is low, the battery is not
be charged. If the battery is overdischarged for a long time, the battery may be damaged.
2. According to the output characteristics or load characteristics of the generator, an inrush
current may occur when the UPS starts, and the generator may fail to start. In this case, set
the target input power value to a smaller value and gradually increase it to the specified
target value (by a step of 100 W).
