Refer to Safety Precautions on page 91.
Check the rear final gear oil level every 1,800 miles (3,000 km) or
300 hours of operating your Honda SXS, and add if needed.
1. Park your Honda SXS on a firm, level surface.
2. Remove the oil filler cap.
3. Make sure the oil level is at the lower edge of the oil filler
inspection hole.
4. Apply a thin coat of grease to a new O-ring, and insert it into the
oil filler cap groove.
5. Install and tighten oil filler cap to the specified torque:
9 lbf·ft (12 N·m, 1.2 kgf·m)
