Cleaning and descaling
Cleaning the appliance
Never immerse the base of the appliance in water nor rinse it under
the tap, as the base contains electrical parts.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as alcohol, petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
Do not use any sharp or pointed objects to clean the appliance. You
could damage the heating plate.
Clean the appliance every time you have used it to prevent the
accumulation of grease and other residues.
1
Unplug the appliance.

Let the appliance cool down completely.

Clean the outside of the base with a soft, moist cloth and then
wipe it dry (Fig. 18).
4
Remove the steaming mask from the base of the appliance. Clean it
with a moist cloth and then dry it with a towel (Fig. 19).
Descaling the water container
Regular descaling prolongs the life of the appliance. Descale the appliance
at least every 2 to 3 months or after you have used it approximately 20
times.
When you use the appliance for the first time after descaling, do not
put your face above the steaming mask as soon as steam starts to
develop. During the first few minutes, there may still be traces of
vinegar or descaling agent in the steam.
1
Remove the steaming mask.
