Adjustment procedures
1) Adjusting the presser foot position
1. Loosen the presser adjusting screw ❶ and the setscrew ❼ of the
presser foot.
2. Move the presser foot ❻ so that the groove of the presser foot ❻
can align with the groove of the throat plate ❽ . Also the bottom
of the presser foot ❻ can stand on the throat plate ❽ flatly. After
the adjustment, tighten the setscrew ❼ of the presser foot.
3. Loosen the setscrew ❺ , and move the presser foot lifting arm
bushing ❹ to left and right so that the presser arm ❸ can match
the presser bar ❷ and the presser bar ❷ can move upward and
downward smoothly. After the adjustment, tighten the setscrew ❺ .
4. To adjust to a proper pressure :
Turn the presser adjusting screw ❶ clockwise will increase the
pressure, whereas turn it counterclockwise will decrease the
pressure.
2) Adjusting the lift amount of the presser foot
1. Turn the pulley to lower the feed dog until the bottom of the
presser foot ❻ horizontally comes in contact with the throat plate
❽ .
2. Provide a 1 mm clearance between presser foot lifting arm ❾
and fixing bracket  . This clearance can be adjusted by slightly
loosening the clamping screw  .
3. Loosen the nut  . Press the presser foot lifting lever  to lift
the presser foot ❻ from the throat plate ❽ surface. The lift of the
presser foot differs with the model. Adjust the lift of the presser
foot according to the model referring to the table shown below.
Then, adjust the stopper screw  so that it comes in contact with
the presser foot lifting lever  . Tighten the nut  .
4. After all the adjustments above, please tighten the clamping
screw  .
