Context
Before checking and maintaining the device, ensure that the primary power supply
to the device is disconnected and the drive has been powered off for 10 minutes.
Otherwise, electrical shocks may occur.
Procedure
Step 1 On the controller home screen, tap Shutdown and turn off the device switch in
the PDF.
Exercise caution because the device is still energized after it is shut down on the
controller home screen.
Step 2 Remove the adjustable side panels for the fan drive.
Step 3 Flip the clip on the fan drive to be replaced.
Step 4 Pull out the handle and remove the fan drive from the subrack.

Step 5 Install the new fan drive and insert it into the corresponding slot in the power
distribution subrack.
Step 6 Flip the clip to lock the fan drive.
