Setting Up the Ingenico 6580
Pinpad via USB
The following documentation will provide instructions for configuring the Ingenico 6580 Pinpad
with CRE/RPE. This document describes the configuration of the 6580 Pinpad using a USB
connection.
Note: To use Ingenico 6580 Pinpad you must be using version 12.0 or above.
Note: The pinpad MUST have the RBA application (version 2.4.0.4) running.
Note: You MUST use the following cable to connect the 6580 via USB:

Select Search for the best driver in these locations.  If you are using the CD supplied with the cable select Search removable media and select Next.  If you are using the downloaded files, select Include this location in the search. Select Browse and then navigate to the folder where you downloaded the files to.

  • Page 5 Determining which COM port is being used by the USB Serial cable Even if the USB Serial cable is used, the computer thinks the 6580 is connected to a COM port. To find out which COM port the computer has assigned to the 6580, follow these steps.
