Setting up the Ingenico 3070 Pinpad

via a Serial Connection

The following documentation will provide instructions for configuring Ingenico 3070 Pinpad with

CRE/RPE, using a serial connection connected via COM1.

Note: To use Ingenico 3070 Pinpad you must be using version 12.0 or above.

Note: The pinpad MUST have the RBA application (version 2.4.0.4) running.

Page 2 Setting up CRE/RPE for the Ingenico 3070 Pinpad In order for the Ingenico 3070 pinpad to be setup correctly, the pinpad must be plugged into the computer via serial and turned off – no power plugged in. A payment processor must also be setup in the Setup Screen.
Page 3 Initialize PinPad for Use with CRE/RPE 1. Plug in the power for the PinPad and wait until the screen (pictured left) is shown. 2. We will then want to open CRE/RPE and we will have to wait until the screen says Please slide card (pictured left).
