Checking the Installation

1
The subrack must be installed firmly in the position specified in the engineering design document.
2
Empty slots in the subrack must be covered with filler panels.
3
The air intake and exhaust vents of the device cannot be blocked to ensure proper heat dissipation.
4
The routing of the cables must conform to the engineering design document and must facilitate maintenance and
expansion in the future.
5
Cable routing has no effect on the removal of fans, air filters and boards.
6
The cables must be free of damage, break, or joint in between.
7
Each core of the cables must be tested to ensure connectivity.
8
The cables must be bundled closely with proper force. The spacing between the cable ties must be even. After the cable
ties are fixed, the remaining part must be cut flush without sharp points.
9
The signal cables must be routed correctly in the cabinet.
10
The cable turns must be smooth and have a large bend radius.
11
The cable labels must be filled in correctly and stuck reliably. They must be aligned and face the same direction. The
labels need to be stuck 2 cm away from the connectors.
12
The power cable and grounding cable must be routed separately from the signal cables.
13
The unused cable connectors must be protected. For example, the connectors must be covered with protective caps.
14
The protective tube for the fiber jumpers must be led into the cabinet and bound tightly.
15
The cuts of the protective tube for the fiber jumpers must be smooth. Otherwise, they must be wrapped by an insulation
tape.
16
The fiber jumpers should not be bound over-tightly, and can be moved freely in the cable tie.
17
The fibers do not contact the cabinet door.
18
The connecting points of the fiber jumpers must be free of dust. The unused fiber connectors and optical interfaces must
be protected by protective caps (or plugs).
The –48 V/–60 V power cable is blue, the ground cable is black, and the PGND cable is yellow-green or yellow.
19
20
The cables outside the cabinet must be routed as follows:
•The cables must be placed tidily and be free of crossover.
•In the case of a cabling ladder, the cables must be bound onto the ladder beam tidily. If the cabling frame is 0.8 m or
more higher than the cabinet top, a cabling ladder must be available on the cabinet top to support the cables and to
ease stress.
