1. Introduction

The unit offers excellent thermal stability and homogeneity at all set temperatures thanks to the dedicated "Auto Tuning"
thermoregulation system.
The incubator constantly monitors also the ambient temperature and it adjusts the power of the heating and cooling system
accordingly.
The internal temperature is measured by the internal probe and it is shown on the display.
The unit is equipped with two internal sockets, controlled by a switch on the frontal panel, to power instruments placed
inside the incubator (e.g. VELP BOD and respirometers systems).
The FOC 120I, FOC 200I and FOC 200IL incubators have an additional internal transparent door that allows the user to
visually check the samples without causing big internal temperature variations.
The FOC 200IL is also equipped with two lighted shelves. Each shelf has six led bars horizontally mounted on the lower part
which illuminate the below shelves. Furthermore, a dedicated timer for the internal lightening allows the user to create
several operating cycles with automatic switch off and on.
The integrated Wi-Fi module transmits and receives information in order to monitor and control the unit through the VELP
Ermes cloud platform.
In accordance with current regulations, all VELP incubators are CFC-free (free from chloro fluoro carbons).

2. Installation

Unpacking
➢ Check the integrity of the unit after unpacking
The box includes
➢ FOC Cooled Incubator
➢ Instruction manual
➢ Power supply cable
Installation
➢ Make sure that the technical specification of the unit and the power supply line are the same
➢ Connect the instrument to an easily accessible socket (compliant with the current safety norms), using only the
provided power supply cable
NOTE: if the instrument has been transported or stored horizontally, leave it in the upright position for at least 24
hours before switching it on. This will allow the cooling circuit to settle. If this procedure is not carried out, the
refrigerating system could be damaged. This damage is not covered by warranty.
NOTE: do not install the equipment near sources of heat (ovens, etc.). The unit should be installed in a well-
ventilated area, avoid niches or small rooms.
