Getting started: Using the T68 as a modem
• Extra dial-string modem commands: Depending on the connection you want to use (number
of timeslots, speed and compression type) you have to initialize your modem according to
your operator's requirements/capabilities. The following syntaxes give you some examples.
You should enter only one of the strings:
• Running: [1+1 9,6] +chsn=1,1,0,4
• Running: [1+1 14,4] +chsn=2,1,0,8
• Running: [2+1 9,6] +chsn=3,2,0,4
• Running: [2+1 14,4] +chsn=4,2,0,8
13.Tap Finish to save the configuration.
Note: Your ISP may use firewalls/proxy servers that may require further settings to your
browser such as host number and port. Please contact your ISP for more information and
enter the information on the Proxy Settings tab.
14.Tap OK twice to save the configuration.
15.When connecting for the first time, you have to enter User name and Password. These are
provided by your ISP.
