Getting started: Using the T68 as a modem
Note: You may have to change the settings for dialling pattern to get the phone number to
work. See "Changing dialling patterns" on page 20.
12.Enter the following settings:
• Cancel call if not connected within: Select and enter, for example, 120 seconds.
• Wait for dial tone before dialing: Optional.
• Extra dial-string modem commands: Leave empty.
13.Tap Finish to save the configuration.
Note: Your ISP may use firewalls/proxy servers that may require further settings to your
browser such as host number and port. Please contact your ISP for more information and
enter the information in the Proxy Settings tab.
14.Tap OK twice to save the configuration.
15.When connecting for the first time, you might have to enter User name and Password.
These are provided by your ISP (if required).
Changing dialling patterns
In order to dial the phone number string correctly you might need to change the settings for
dialling patterns.
1.Go to Start/Settings/Connections/Connections and then tap the Dialing Locations tab.
2.Tap the Dialing Patterns button.
3.Enter the following dialling patterns settings:
• For local calls, dial: G
• For long distance calls, dial: G
• For international calls, dial: G
