Faults
Charger does not
function after switching on:
1. Set the voltage selector switch
(9) to the position "0" (OFF).
2. Check the mains connection.
3. Check the mains fuse:
– Disconnect the mains cable
from the power supply network
and from the charger and re-
move the mains fuse holder (11).
– Replace the mains fuse by a
replacement fuse 4 A slow-blow.
A replacement fuse is provided
in the fuse holder.
– Insert the mains fuse holder
and connect the mains cable to
the charger.
– Switch on the charger.
The charger must be checked by the
after-sales service if it still does not
function.

Red LED display
1. Check polarity:
– Red clip to positive terminal
– Black clip to negative terminal
2. Check that the charging clips
are securely attached.
3. Check the rated battery voltage.
After fault rectification:
Switch off the unit and then switch
back on again.
The battery may be exhaus-
ted if no faults are establis-
hed in the respective checks
(see
"Charging
batteries").
