Private Network-to-Network Interface (PNNI) is a protocol that two
ATM switches use when setting up a VC. It also provides a
mechanism for ATM switches to propagate topology information
throughout the ATM network. The PNNI statistics screens provide
useful information for troubleshooting ATM network problems.
Viewing the PNNI statistics includes:
Viewing PNNI Link Information - ATM switches directly
connected to the ATM Uplink module.
Viewing PNNI Node Information - The ATM Uplink module's
local PNNI Node information.
Viewing PNNI Map Node Information - This lists the other
ATM switches within the same Peer Group and PNNI level as
the ATM Uplink module.
Viewing PNNI Route Address Information - This lists which
VC to use to reach a specific ATM destination.
The information in the PNNI Link table indicates which ATM
devices are directly connected through a physical link. At most,
