GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING Engine Compression (See Figs. 1-3) Low compression will cause erratic idling, low power, and hard starting when hot. Release the start button to stop the electric motor (Fig. 75). NOTE: When the start button remains pressed, the electric motor will run for about 5 seconds then it will stop automatically.
