installing tHe wHeels

Two types of wheels can be ordered with the IQ – "wheelbarrow" wheels or
"library" wheels (see photos). To install either wheel set make sure the IQ is
on the ground and right side up. When installing the wheel brackets, you
may need to prop the frame up with styrofoam from the packing box to give
yourself more leverage.
"wHeelbarrow" wHeels
As the name implies, the "wheelbarrow" wheels allow you to move your IQ
like a wheelbarrow and store under a bed.
To install:
- Use the 5/32 Allen key to unscrew
the two bolts next to the footbar
knobs on either side of the frame.
Make sure the key is completely
inside the hole of the bolt. You
may hear a "pop" as the bolts
come loose which is normal.
- Place the bracket on the frame
as shown at right.
Re-insert and tighten bolts. Repeat
the process on the other side.
"library" wHeels
The "library" wheels allow you to
stand the IQ on end like a library
book and slide it into a closet.
To install:
- Use the 5/32 Allen key to
unscrew the four bolts on both
sides of the footbar-end of frame.
Make sure the key is completely
inside the hole of the bolt. You
may hear a "pop" as the bolts come
loose which is normal.
- Place the bracket on the frame
as shown at right. Make sure the
footstrap hole on the bracket is
facing out toward the side of the
machine.
- Re-insert and tighten bolts.
Repeat the process on the other
side.

installing and adjusting
tHe footbar
The IQ footbar can be adjusted to four
positions. Two positions are created by
installing the footbar in one of two sets
of holes. The other two positions are
created by reversing the footbar.
- Loosen the knobs below the footbar
on each side of the frame (see
photo).
- Pull the footbar out of frame holes
and insert in the other hole position.
Re-tighten the knobs.
- The footbar can be reversed to
create additional positions, including
a shorter distance between shoulder
rests and footbar (for shorter users
- see photo). You can also shorten
the distance further by installing the
footbar in the set of holes closest to
the carriage.
installing tHe risers
To install the risers:
- Remove the locking pins from the
frame. The pins are located below the
riser holes (see photo at right).
- Insert the riser into the hole with
the pulley angled outward from the
carriage at a 45-degree angle (see
photo).
- Re-insert the locking pin through
the frame and the risers. The locking
pins prevent the risers from pulling
out of the frame during use. The
removable risers can be stored in a
compartment at the head-end of the
frame (see photo).
See instructions on the following pages, "Moving, Standing and
Storing the IQ" for additional information on library wheels.
