How to store and recall memories M1, M2, M3 and M4
If you press any of these keys for more than 2 seconds, the channel in use will be
stored.
As confirmation you will hear two beep sounds and a star icon will be displayed in
correspondance of the memory.
To recall a memory: press FN (5) followed by the button of the memory you want
to call M1, M2, M3 or M4.
To delete a memory: push FN (5) and keep it pressed for more than 2 seconds.
followed by the button of the memory you want to delete (M1, M2, M3 or M4).
You will hear two beep sounds as confirmation and the icon of the star will disappear
from the display.
Channel scan
The scan function allows to rapidly seek a busy channel.
To start scanning keep pressed the / controls (7).
All channels will be repeatedly be scanned; everytime a signal is detected, the radio
will stop scanning and the color the channel number shown in the display will turn
from white to red.
To invert the scan direction, rotate the knob of the main selector (14) or press the
UP/DOWN keys on the microphone (3) (5).
The scan can be interrupted in the following ways:
press PTT on the microphone (1) or  (priority channel of the microphone) ;
press the knob on the main selector (14);
press the arrow keys (/ or /);
It is possible to exclude some channels from the scan list: select the channel to
exclude and keep pressed the key on the main knob (14) for more than 2 seconds.
The display will show:
Repeat the same procedure to exclude further channels.
Selecting the frequency band
Midland 88 is a multi standard CB radio that can be used in many countries.
According to the country where you are operating, you have to select the proper
and allowed frequency band.
