FN + EMG and the display will show the channel/frequency/channel+frequen-
cy.

Selection keys :
a. Arrow /: to move inside the menu of the radio and to select the para-
meters, to adjust the squelch, DS and RF gain;
b. Arrow /: if you keep it pressed for more than 2 seconds, the channel
scan will be activated; then push it again to stop the scan;
c. Press FN + , to activate/deactivate the keypad lock.
8. Multi-color display: shows all info, functions and parameters selected.
9. SQ-M1: press briefly this control to select the squelch; to adjust its level push
the / (7) or rotate the knob of the selector (14). If you keep it pressed,
memory M1 will be stored or deleted. Press FN + SQ to recall the memory.
10. DS-M2: press briefly to enter the Digital Squelch mode; to adjust its level push
the / keys (7) or rotate the selector knob (14). Keep pressed to store or
delete M2 memory. Press FN + DS to recall M2.
11. RFG-M3: with this control you can adjust the RF GAIN level. Push briefly and
then the / keys (7) or rotate the selector knob (14). Keep pressed to store
or delete the M3 memory. Press FN + RFG to recall the memory.
12. AM/FM-M4: press briefly to change from AM to FM modulation. Keep pres-
sed to store or delete M4 memory. Push FN + AM/FM to recall M4 memory.
13. 6 pin microphone connector: plug-in the microphone and fix it with the sup-
plied screw;
14. Main knob: it allows to select channels, to adjust the squelch levels, RG GAIN,
to scroll through the menu with its functions and parameters. Once you did
your selection, you have to confirm it by pressing shortly the knob. Press FN
and then this knob to activate the noise blanker (NB) filter. Repeat the proce-
dure to activate the HIC filter, too. To deactivate both filters press FN (5)
and this knob again. If you keep pressed the knob, the channel in use will be
excluded from the scan. Keep it pressed again to include the channel into the
scan.
15. LED; the led color changes depending on the following modes:
green: receiving a signal;
yellow: a CTCSS/DCS tone has been enabled on the channel in use and the
radio receives a signal on that sub-audio tone (this feature is available only in
the extra EU version and in FM mode);
red: transmission.
