caused by improper use and/or during competition, no
correct maintenance, transport, storage, etc.; it decays
immediately in case of modifications or alterations of the
product. Validity corresponds to the legal guarantee of the
country in which the product was sold (max 3 years) and
shall be effective from the selling date by the Manufacturer.
No claims may be lodged against the Manufacturer after
such term has elapsed. Any request of reparation must
be accompanied by documentary evidence of the date of
purchase. If the defect is recognized, the Manufacturer,
at its only discretion, will repair or replace or refund the
product. In no case the Manufacturer's liability will exceed
to the invoiced price.
8 – SPECIFIC INFORMAtION
INDY EVO is a manually-operated descender device:
- it conforms to standard EN 12841 type C, for a vertical
descent at a controlled speed. It allows to stop at any
time, hands free and it is suitable for:
- one user combined with a Static Rope Lanyard with a
diameter ø ranging between 10 and 12 mm
- two users combined with a Static Rope Lanyard with
a diameter ø ranging between 11 and 12 mm
As an alternative to the Static Rope Lanyard, either
dynamic (EN 892) or static (EN 1891) Lanex ropes of the
same diameter may be used.
Warning: when using a rope, it is vital to keep it
always under control in order to reduce the risk of
serious injuries and death (fig. 11).
- it conforms to standard EN 341 class A - it allows
one person to descend vertically (max. 100 m) at a
controlled speed (ranging between 0.5 and 2 m/s),
either automatically or with the aid of an operator, on a
Static Rope Lanyard (ø 11 mm) conforming to standard
EN 354 - as an alternative to the Static Rope Lanyard
a static Lanex rope (ø 11 mm) conforming to EN 1891
may be used.
Important: this device is designed to be used on a textile
anchor line only, compliant with standard EN 1891 or EN
892, combined with:
- anchor points according to EN 795,
- connectors with gate-locking device according to
standard EN 362 and/or EN 12275,
- harnesses according to standard EN 361 and/or EN
12277,
- rescue equipment according to EN 1498.
Static Rope Lanyard anchor lines are made with static
ropes according to standard EN 1891 and certified
according to standard EN 354 and EN 795/B.
Warning: INDY EVO is not suitable to be combined
with a fall arrester.
Important:
- when positioning the device, make sure that:
- the anchor point of the flexible line is above the user
and it conforms to standard EN 795,
- the rope between anchor point and user is not loose,
- the descent is free from obstacles,
- remaining in a safe position, check that the device is
working properly, every time you use it,
- rain and ice may hinder or reduce the performance of
the device,
