8. SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
8.1. CLEANING & DISINFECTION
Disconnect the device from the power source for cleaning. If the device
is used privately at home, clean the device housing and attachment ele-
ments with a clean cloth moistened with clear water or use a household
disinfectant. If the device is used in a professional or clinical setting, clean
and disinfect the housing, disk attachment and ball attachment with a
medical surface disinfectant such as Wet Wipe "PHMB Disinfection"
wipes before and after each use. Allow the disinfectant to work for 60
seconds and then wipe with a dry cloth, if necessary.

8.2. TROUBLESHOOTING

Contact our Customer Service if any defects or failures occur.

8.3. SAFETY CHECKS

The NOVAFON device does not require any of the safety checks defined
in Annex 1 of the German Regulation on the Installation, Operation and
Use of Medical Devices (MPBetreibV). However, if routine checks are de-
sired, they should be performed at intervals of five years. Routine checks
and service work must be performed by authorized personnel only.
8.4. DISPOSAL
The disposal of the NOVAFON device is subject to the requirements of
the EU Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE Di-
rective). It must not be disposed of in municipal waste. Users are required
to use designated collection points when disposing of waste electrical
and electronic equipment to minimize environmental impact. You are
free to return your old device to NOVAFON. We will take care of its
disposal for you.

9. WARRANTY

The device is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for
a period of two (2) years from the date of delivery. Warranty coverage is
subject to the presentation of a proof of purchase. Please contact your
dealer directly for any warranty claims. The right of rescission (cancella-
tion of purchase), the right to demand a reduction in the purchase price
(discount) or the right to demand subsequent delivery are generally ex-
cluded. However, the buyer is entitled, at its own discretion, to demand
a reduction in the purchase price or withdraw from the purchase if the
seller fails to remedy a defect covered by the warranty within a reason-
able period of time.
