    2.2 Proper use The SafetyBox monitors the tightness of the pump tubes. A sensor detects an impermissibly leaked electrically conductive liquid and indicates this by means of an optical and an acoustic signal. The SafetyBox may only be used in combination with pumps from Lutz Pumpen. • The SafetyBox can be used in the following environments:...

    3. Transport and storage 3.1 Transport Unpacking and checking condition of delivery ► Unpack the SafetyBox on receipt and check for transport damages. ► Report transport damages to the manufacturer immediately. ► Check that the consignment is complete as ordered.

    ► Use a screwdriver to set the upper switch to "Up" (→ Fig. 2). ► Use a screwdriver to set the lower switch to 100 kΩ (→ Fig. 2). ► Connect the SafetyBox to the power supply using the power supply cable (→ Fig.1, item 3). ► To test the leakage sensor, insert water drop by drop into the inlet opening of the leakage sensor until the signal device lights up and hums.

    4.3 Completing commissioning 3 Carefully read the operating instructions of motor and pump tube. 3 Drive of the pump is switched off ► Connect the SafetyBox to the power supply using the power supply cable (→ Fig.4, item 1). ► There is a socket on the SafetyBox (→ Fig. 4, item 2) to switch off the pump drive in the event of leakage. For electric drives, a motor with low-voltage release is recommended to prevent uncontrolled restarting.

    5. Operation In the event of leakage, the LED on the signal box of the SafetyBox lights up and an acoustic alarm signal sounds. ► Switch off the motor and, if necessary, close the valve on the container. ► Disconnect the SafetyBox from the power supply if the signal is interfering.

    7. Repairs ► Repairs should only be made by the manufacturer or authorized Lutz dealers. ► Only use Lutz spare parts. If other spare parts are used, liability on the part of Lutz Pumpen is obsolete. 8. Waste disposal ►Dispose of the device according to the locally applicable regulations.
