    3. Advice for using the AddBike safely Wearing a helmet Always wear a helmet when using the AddBike to protect your head in case of falling. Utilization of the AddBike for parking and/or loading and unloading To ensure safe loading and unloading, we recommend that you use the parking brake on the AddBike (located on its brake lever) to stabilize the bike.

    The AddBike must be installed and uninstalled as explained. Improper installation/uninstallation can lead to accidents that could cause serious injury. For the installation of the AddBike on the host bike, you will need a set of Allen wrenches and open-end wrenches. Remove your wheel with the appropriate tools (Cf.

    8. Good maintenance of your AddBike Your AddBike requires a minimum of maintenance and regular servicing. A.     Rules for loading the base In order to make loading of the AddBike easier (alone or with a module), put the parking brake in locked position and lock the bike as far right as possible using the pendulum’s lock system.

    Also, using the AddBike on this type of surface can lead to premature aging of some parts of your bike. For this reason, you must dismount and walk along your bike, or ride with caution, if you encounter such obstacles.

    The brakes are equipped with a system which allows a complete lockdown when the AddBike is stopped. When the parking brake is released (normal position), the button is positioned to the right. The brakes of the AddBike are then released and you can use your bike normally (Cf.

    E. Using the tilting wheels system The tilting wheels system has a controlling handle. This handle allows adjusting the suspension of the tilting wheels so that the bike will tilt more or less easily when turning or maneuvering. Figure 56 shows the table explaining the different lever positions and their effect on driving. It is forbidden to ride with the pendulum completely locked (handle on the red zone).
