The AddBike must be installed and uninstalled as explained. Improper installation/uninstallation can lead to accidents that could cause serious injury. For the installation of the AddBike on the original bike, you will need a set of Allen wrench and open end wrench. Remove your wheel with the appropriate tools (Cf.
B. Installing the AddBike Step 1: Remove the front wheel from your bike Your bike with its front wheel Your bike without its front wheel Figure 26 – Your bike with and without the front wheel Depending on the brake and attachment system of the front wheel, disassembly may vary. Therefore, you have to identify the braking system of your bicycle.
Page 26
If your wheel is equipped with a disc brake, make sure to put the shim back between the pads • to avoid blocking the brake. If in doubt, or for any other brake system, contact your AddBike dealer or a professional on cycle servicing. Identify your wheel lock system (quick coupler, screw-nut …).
Page 27
Step 2: Positioning the attachment axle on the fixing plaque Before installing the AddBike on your bike, beware of properly positioning the quick release axle on the rear plaque, carefully referring to the labels which are found on the AddBike, as shown in the chart below:...
Page 28
For a wheel size of 20’’, favor the low position instead of the middle one. If, once the AddBike completely installed on your bike, a particular element of your bike interferes with an element of the AddBike, change the position of the axle by using the middle position.
Page 29
If you have to move this axle in order to adapt the AddBike to a different wheel size or a different fork width, or if you have to change the attachment axle, then follow these steps: Unscrew the adjustment nut from the attachment axle of the AddBike ;...

The adaptation time for riding the AddBike may vary from a few minutes to several hours depending on the user. Take the time you need for familiarization.
Rules for loading the Base In order to make loading of the AddBike easier (alone or with a module), put the parking brake in locked position and lock the bike as far right as possible using the pendulum’s lock system.
Also, using the AddBike on this type of surface can lead to premature aging of some parts of your bike. For this reason you must dismount and walk along your bike, or ride with caution, if you encounter such obstacles.
Move the button to the left without releasing the brake lever (Cf. Figure 64) • Release the brake lever. • When the parking brake is engaged, the AddBike’s brakes are locked and the bike does not move forward. Figure 63. Parking brake released Figure 64. Activating the parking brake...
The “Intermediary” position is designed for facilitating the learning phase. It is not designed for permanent use. Users who have learnt to ride a bicycle with an AddBike are expected to use the “Free” position as shown below.
Adjusting the position of the front wheels (trail) is important. This will allow you to be as comfortable as possible on your bike, according to the load. You will have to modify the position depending if your AddBike is loaded or not. The following indications explain to you how to adjust the trail on your bike.
Page 56
Move both wheels by sliding them: slightly raise one side of the AddBike (make sure the AddBike • does not topple over) so that the wheel does not touch the ground, then take the wheel by the hub and make it slide. Do the same with the other wheel ;...
