    Cable-operated switches 4.4 Design Design For long distances of up to 2 × 100 m, complete devices are available with metal enclosure and actuation on both sides or as conveyor belt unbalance trackers for monitoring conveyor systems. Alternatively, it is also possible to use LED technology or cable-operated switches with integral EMERGENCY STOP button.

The switch may only be actuated by pulling the pull-wire, and never by pushing out the mechanical system inside the enclosure or by using tools to pull the tension ring. The user must regularly check the switch for correct operation.
