Function description
Drawn in by a pump in the unit head, the water first
flows through the pre-filter then from the bottom to
the top through the superimposed layers of filter me-
dia. The water then flows back into the aquarium via
the flow-out pipe or water distributor.
Foam filters with different pore densities, and Hel-X
bio-elements serve as filter media.
In units with heater, the water is heated during its pas-
sage through the filter system.
